EduShift ("we", "us") operates the IELTS practice platform at edushift.uz. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
• Practice data: your test attempts, answers, band scores, feedback, and EduCoin balance.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and basic usage logs.

How we use your data

• To provide the platform and let you take and review mock tests.
• To verify your email and secure your account, including sending one-time verification and password-reset codes.
• To score your tests. Writing and Speaking answers are graded by AI (see below).
• To display leaderboards, where learners are shown only as a first name and last initial.
• To protect the service against abuse and to improve it over time.

AI processing

To score Writing and Speaking and to transcribe spoken answers, the relevant text or audio may be sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) for processing. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your test answers.

Email

Verification and password-reset codes are delivered through our email provider. We send only transactional messages related to your account, not marketing, unless you opt in.

Cookies and local storage

We store a sign-in token in your browser's local storage to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that run the platform (hosting, email delivery, and AI grading), and where required by law.

Retention and your rights

We keep your account and practice data while your account is active. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your personal data, subject to any legal retention requirements.

Children

EduShift is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the date above.
